Japanese term or phrase: くせ
Context is 髪のくせ・くせのある髪. I need to know what to call this that distinguishes it from other hair "conditions" like うねり、はね and 広がり. I've been using "unruly (hair)" or unruliness, but the more I think about it the more unsure I get! どなたか説明してください! (I will post the other terms separately, but please note that they all appear in the same text, so I need different terms for each.) Both term suggestions and detailed descriptions/explanations are welcome!

unruly / unmanageable (hair)
Explanation:
I think you're absolutely right with your feeling about the word "unruly."

The word "くせ" in its many uses is not that positive a word. It's about habits, mannerisms, peculiarities.

In this case, it is about hair that's unmanageable and is hard to tame. (It's got bad habits.)
