Not sure I'm parsing this one right; feels like it shouldn't be too difficult but I've been translating all day and think my mental energy is beginning to dwindle...

For context, this is from an excel sheet related to vehicle safety system requirements; the section in particular is related to steering. The full sentence can be found below:

検知器が正しい値を検知しないことにより , 誤った制御介入をしない

I think I have the second part right but it might change depending on whether or not I'm understanding the pre-comma section.

Does this translation work? "Does not perform incorrect control intervention if the detector does not detect the correct values"

Or is the detector itself what is supposed to be not performing the mistaken control interventions?
