lifestyle-related consumption sector / field of lifestyle-related consumption Explanation: 1) 生活消費分野 is literally "life consumption sector" which sounds pretty unnatural. 2) I am thinking of this as being about the consumption of goods/services for one's lifestyle. (These are the products that marketing companies are energetically targeting in their ad campaigns.) 3) I've included a dictionary definition of "消費生活" which is "a consumer's lifestyle." (Please see website below). 4) I used the above and turned it into "lifestyle-related consumption sector." http://home.alc.co.jp/db/owa/bdicn_sch?w=Consumer&p=2 consumer staples 生活用品、生活必需品 http://dictionary.infoseek.co.jp/?ii=0&lp=0&sm=1&sc=&gr=ml&q... 消費生活 a consumer's lifestyle. http://aof.revues.org/index179.html But farm shops are often a lot dearer than supermarkets and shopping in them was a lifestyle-related activity, which for urban consumers amounts to opportunistic buying on leisurely rural journeys. Modes for achieving local sector development are identified based on the discussion of ideal strategies or types, which serves to highlight the multiplicity of options for marketing local food but more importantly presents local food as an inherently lifestyle-related phenomenon. |
