Ex batterista, ambasciatore delle camicie a quadri e vero appassionato della cucina povera ma sostanziosa, XXX ha trovato in Genova una buona patria adottiva, anche se la “e” stretta genovese è ancora un ostacolo troppo alto da superare.

Es handelt sich um die Präsentation des Teams einer Agentur. Ich bin mit dem Genueser Dialekt nicht vertraut und bin mir nicht sicher, wie man die Aussprache des "e" dort beschreibt - vielleicht gedehnt oder breit? Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen?

"stretto" bezieht sich hier nicht auf die Länge oder Betonung des (offenen oder geschlossenen Vokals), sondern darauf, dass seine Aussprache typisch für den ligurischen Dialekt ist ... Im Genueser Dialekt wird das E übrigens nasal ausgesprochen, also "nasaliert".

neutral  Dunia Cusin: Nein. "E" wird offen ausgesprochen z.B. in der Nähe von Mailand und - eben - "geschlossen" ausgesprochen in Genua. "Dialetto strettO" ist ganz was anders.

"Stretta" ist genau das Gegenteil von "breit" oder "ausgedehnt"!
Vokal können auf jeden Fall "offen" oder "geschlossen" ausgesprochen werden.
Das "e" kann insbesondere nur "halboffen" oder "halbgeschlossen" sein. Sieh Bild hier:

neutral  Regina Eichstaedter: Leider hat halbgeschlossen nichts mit e stretta gemein und auch nichts mit dem Genueser Dialekt, weil "stretta" nicht geschlossen und schon gar nicht halb geschlossen bedeutet, und weil der Genueser Dialekt kein geschlossenes/halb geschlossenes E hat.

AUSPRACHE von E un O

Offiziell gibt es Ausspracheregeln zu diesen beiden Vokalen, in der Praxis sind die regionalen Unterschiede aber sehr groß.

Im Italienischen gibt es offene und geschlossene Vokale.
Nur das „e“ und das „o“ gibt es in beiden Formen.
Eine 100% Regel für die Verwendung offener oder geschlossener Vokale gibt es nicht, wegen der regionalen Unterschiede.

2° La e si pronuncia regolarmente stretta, fuorché innanzi all’r cui segua un’altra consonante, come: erba, erba, persa, maggiorana, inverso, rovescio, ecc. Posta innanzi alle consonanti duplicate f l s t, ed anche a st, ha un suono irregolare, pronunziandosi in molte parole stretta e in molte larga. Non potendosi dare intorno a ciò una regola determinata, si segnerà l’e larga coll’accento grave in quelle parole le quali pronunziandosi con e stretto hanno un significato totalmente diverso, come: pesta, pèsta; testo, tèsto; letto, lètto, ecc

5 L’o, alla stessa maniera dell’e, ha pur due suoni come nella lingua italiana, l’uno aperto o largo, e l’altro chiuso. Degli Accenti.
Gli accenti del dialetto genovese sono quattro: acuto (´), grave (`), circonflesso (^) e dieresi ossia trema (¨).

L’accento acuto si mette soltanto sulla e in fine d’una parola, e serve a rendere la stessa parola tronca e a stringere la pronunzia dell’e, come: perché, poiché, zacché, a l’é coscì, la cosa e così. 

Il grave fa lo stesso uffizio che in italiano, cioè allarga la vocale cui vien sovrapposto; e ciò avviene nelle lettere e o, quando trovansi in mezzo della parola, come abbiamo già visto. Messo in fine d’una parola che finisca per vocale, tronca seccamente la parola, come: pappà, caffè, coscì, xabò, virtù. Notisi che la pronunzia dell’ù sarà sempre alla francese.

Il circonflesso ha nel nostro dialetto lo stesso valore che nella lingua francese, cioè strascica la vocale a cui vien sovrapposto, così andâ, pappê, staffî, ecc., si pronunciano come se fossero scritte andaa, pappee, staffii, ecc. - L’ô si pronunzia stretto tanto in mezzo delle parole quanto in fine di esse, come: gôa, demôa, amô, sô, dottô. - L’û, come ho detto di sopra nel Capo I, si pronuncierà come l’u francese, non però strascinato quando sarà in mezzo della parola, come dûbbio, mûtto, sciûto, pûa, polvere; e strascinato quando sará in fine di essa, come: mû, cû, pittamû, pittima, spilorcio.

La dieresi ossia trema fa i seguenti quattro uffizi:
1° Ora serve a sciogliere il dittongo in poesia, come nella lingua italiana Esempio: E ro söave e fresco ventixêu O dixeiva: dormï, dormï figgiêu, E i venticelli dibattendo l’ali Lusingavano il sonno dei mortali. (Trad. della Ger. lib);
2° Ora serve a strascinare la vocale a cui vien sovrapposta senza però alterarne il suono naturale, come in bägio, sbadiglio, pëtene,pettine, pämïa, palamìta, püta, poltiglia ecc. - Si eccettua l’ö, il quale tanto nel mezzo delle parole quanto in fine di esse, si pronunzia sempre largo e strascicato, come: fö, farò, dö,darò, ûn pö, un poco, töa, tavola, föa, favola, scöso, grembo, ecc. - Nelle due pro*posizioni articolate cö, col, sciö, sul, e nel pronome lö,eglino o loro, si pronunzia stretto; 
3° Ora serve a distinguere il significato della parola, o il tempo del verbo. Distingue il significato della parola nel pronome lö, loro, nelle prep. art. cö, col, sciö, sul, sciä, sulla, pë,per lo*, e nei verbi pä, pare o sembra, dö, darò, fö, farò, sö, sarò, sä, sarà, diä, dirà, le quali voci tutte se invece fossero segnate coll’accento circonflesso, lô, cô, sciô, sciâ, pê, pâ, dô, fô, sô, sâ, diâ, sarebbero tanti nomi sostantivi equivalenti a lupo, colore, fiore o signore, ella o signora, piede, paio, dolore, fragore, sole, sale, ditale. Distingue il tempo del verbo in alcune terze persone del singolare, del futuro della prima congiunzione*, le quali scritte coll’accento circonflesso diverrebbero tempo presente dell’infinito, così: dä, fä, stä, mangïäecc. valgono darà, farà, starà, mangerà ecc.; dâ, fâ, stâ, mangiâ ecc., valgono dare, fare, stare, mangiare; e nelle seconde persone del plur. del pres. dei modi indicativo, imperativo e congiuntivo della 4ª coniugazione, come: voî sentï, gödï, maledï, ecc., voi sentite, godete, maledite, ecc., le quali segnate coll’accento circonflesso diventano esse pure tanti modi infiniti: sentî, gödî, maledî, ecc., sentire, godere, maledire, ecc.

neutral  Dunia Cusin: evtl. das (nicht "die") und dann "kurz" (nicht "kurze"). Auf jeden Fall geht es nicht um die Länge des Lautes sondern um seine Öffnung.

Explanation:
In diesem Zusammenhang passt eine einfache Verwendung. Das e wird hier in Genua eben nicht breit oder gedehnt ausgesprochen. Schon in Mailand z.B. ist das ganz anders.
