in terms of bringing together Explanation: The couple of Italian-English dictionaries I looked at just gave "place" or "arrange". But the English-Italian reference below gives "bring together", which fits the context perfectly. Your translation isn't quite right. I believe it means "bringing together an important part of post-Hegelian protestant thinking on the subject of asceticism." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 mins (2015-07-29 16:01:02 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, I left out "theological". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2015-07-29 20:33:48 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.wordreference.com/enit/collocate In answer to your additional question, no, that's not how I understand it. It means that the book brings together the thoughts of many different authors. |

in regards to the position taken Explanation: ... but also represents a key/major text, on the subject of asceticism, in regards to the position taken by an important part of the post-Hegelian Protestant theological thinking/theory. This is the way I see it. |
