drill plan Explanation: In a translation from English to Italian we translated Drill Plan with "schema di volata", and seen your sentence and context, I think it can be it. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2010-01-10 20:07:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I forgot to mention that the translation from En to It I was referring to was on the same topic |

rounds of shots Explanation: ".. blasting methods using standard rounds of shots... " I would do something like this A "volata" is a round of shots, where (from an old translation): Volata: è lo sparo simultaneo, o in una preordinata successione temporale, di più mine predisposte per ottenere un determinato risultato in termini di abbattimento del fronte di scavo. Round of shots: simultaneous or predetermined sequence of explosive detonations specifically placed to give a determined result in terms of face excavation. I would tend to skip a precise translation of "schema" here, because it would really include everything to do with the "volata", the drill hole layout, the strength of the explosives and the sequence of the shots. Any attempt to put all that in one or just few words in English would probably look clumsy and strange. |
