Once again, a 19th century firearm term. This time I have found the following definition in Treccani:

nelle armi da fuoco portatili si dicono fornimenti le parti (bocchino, fascette, guardamano e calciolo) che collegano la canna alla cassa.

But cannot locate an equivalent term in English.
