The full sentence is "Il fatto non può certamente integrare gli estremi della minore gravità, avuto riguardo alla valutazione globale dello stesso, ed, in particolare:
-alle ripetute azioni violenti
-alle gravi minacce
-al fatto che solo per una improvvisa reazione la vittima si è sottrata alla brutale aggressione ed evitare che la violenza fosse ben più grave."

I am reading "estremi" as mitigating factors as provided for in Italian law, Art. 609 bis,

"L’ultimo comma della disposizione normativa sancisce una diminuzione della pena non eccedente i due terzi per i casi di minore gravità.... persiste quindi uno strumento che consente al Giudice di modulare la pena tenuto conto delle circostanze del caso concreto."

Or is "estremi" details?

"Certainly the lesser severity related mitigating factors/aspects cannot be applied to the fact, taking into account its overall evaluation, and in particular:
-the repeated violent actions
-the grave threats
-the fact that only by the victim's mere chance reaction, she was able to escape the brutal aggression and avoid much more severe violence."

Matters for the cognate term of 'extremos' albeit in Spanish tends to work nine times out of ten in a legal and civil or criminal litigation context.
