The purpose of such means in anti-tampering systems can vary widely. For example, they may simply render any tampering visible, such as in a box with a tab that breaks off when it is first opened and prevents its reclosure, or have a more disruptive role to disable the host device. For example, in this case, their breakage might cause contacts to close that will let the battery fry the electronics as per claim 9 ... just guessing though! PS: I agree with your typo assumption in claim 10. |
