concessions Explanation: Concessionario = concession holder. I would translate the sentence as follows: "The concession holder will send his or her VAT number, identifying information, personal tax code number and email address of the one or more persons authorized to access the site on account of their concessions." I have just finished some documents dealing with this topic, so I'm pretty sure of the terminology. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 50 mins (2010-05-26 09:33:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The English language dictionary defines concession as something granted by a govt. In this case it is the right to offer on-line gambling. It is a a sort of license. Many were granted with the Bersani Law a short time ago. I'm certain that the term is not a false friend, and that it is commonly used in this context. I have worked off of an approved translation of an annual report with this term used in this instance for one of the largest concession holders in Italy. |

access granted under his licence/authorization Explanation: My attempt: 'The agent must provide his own VAT Registration Number, his personal data, the National Insurance Number and the email address of one or more persons granted access to the site under his licence/authorization.' In English I would use the singular; in Italian the use of the 'per conto' structure works better with plural. Again..just my personal opinion... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2010-05-26 11:06:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 'his concessions/licences' then. 'Concessioni' are public licences granted by the state for a set period of time that a dealer must possess in order to operate in a specific business area. For instance in the case of online gaming, the dealer must have a licence for all the games (or game categories) running on his site (or sites): a licence for lottery games, one for Bingo, one for running competitions, and so on. Cedric pointed out that 'The English language dictionary defines concession as something granted by a govt.' , which fits perfectly. Most people however refer to them as 'licences'.
