On BPA (British Pyrotechnists Association) card you can find this title.

As clearly explained in the Forum (see link) the reason is maybe that
both solutions suggested by the collegues are in use, however
the term "pyrotechnics" encompasses much more than fireworks, eg. delays, smoke, igniters, flares , screening smoke, ir emmiters etc etc
Both solutions of the colleagues are in Use!
Pyrotechnician = US (bloggers seem to prefer this solution)
Pyrotechnist = UK

Asker: Thank You! Your answer is the most complete! However, I think that 'Pyrotechnician' should be the best solution, it sounds better and maybe is more used!
