co-molded Explanation: I'd say a stainless steel core with a rubber/plastic skin co-molded together. Co-molding or co-injection molding is mostly used with 2 different density plastics so you can have a strong core and a skin of a different appearance/touch as a finish or to grind down. It's also used to mold plastic onto metal Ultra Thin Keypad co-molded with Silicone Rubber & Metal Frame http://www.topboundusa.com/ultra-thin-keypad-co-molded-silic... Co-injection molding process produces a plastic part with a skin and core laminated structure. The skin material is firstly injected into the mold, followed by the core material, and the machine injects skin material again to encapsulate the core. Therefore, a product can be made with desired appearance of outside skin material. http://www.moldex3d.com/en/can-moldex3d/process/co-injection... http://www.google.es/search?q=CO-MOULDED CO-STAMPATO&ie=utf-...
