Italian to English translations [PRO]
Art/Literary - Advertising / Public Relations / advertising space in a magazine
Italian term or phrase: I° e II° Romana
Hello, I have a chart that states the costs of buying advert space in a magazine.

I found II Romana as First RHP, so is I Romana First LHP?
Therefore First LHP and RHP ?

A colleague suggested "Front and inside front cover ", but I disagree as the costs for publishing an advert on I and II Romana is less than the back cover.

Any tips please?

First and Second Roman (?)

Explanation:
I have heard and read "prima romana" and "seconda romana" in reference to the first and second pages inside a book: you have the cover, then a few pages before the actual book starts--these can be, for instance, a blank page, an index, an imprimatur, an introduction, etc. These pages are usually numbered with roman numerals to mark the difference with the pages that form the actual book (these are numbered with arabic numerals). I guess it's the same for a magazine. Does this make sense?

Hiya! Information on ad layout is not as exaustive as I had hoped, especially for II romana.

Have a look at these files,
I romana is mentioned (with a diagram) on p. 3
www.rcspubblicita.it/site/home/mezzi/perioodici/oggi/docume...

And here is a link in EN listing the ad fees for the Sole-24 Ore newspaper,
https://24oresystem.ilsole24ore.com/en///wp-content/uploads/...
On p. 5 you have the only instance of LHP, but in the Surcharges section, so it definitely is a prominent space.
And you'll find RHP just below that,

'first full page LHP on page 4 or 6
...
first full page RHP on page 7, 9, 11'

Asker: Hi Barbara! Thank you. I guess that it would thus be inside front cover and first RHP... but I may well be wrong ;)
