My rising sexual urge is troubling me Explanation: My rising sexual urge is troubling me Literally "jawani" means coming of age or becoming "jawan", that is "of age". But here it is used in an semi-erotic meaning, and refers to the sexual desire/urge of the person. |

Translation or essence of the line Explanation: I'm a native Hindi / Gujarati native speaker from Mumbai, India. While agreeing with Mr. Satish Itikela, the line refers to erotic romanticism of a young lass in love. It's literal translation could be 'My growing youthfulness is agitated (with yearning for your love)... Basically, this is an incomplete line of a verse of a Hindi Film song. Here, the essence of the sentence denotes burning romantic desire of a young lass for her lover. It denotes eroticisim. Whereas, I disagree with Mr. Balasubramaniam, who gives the meaning of the sentence as a sexual urge disturbing the young lass. In fact, the message conveyed by the line is erotic, but eroticism doesn't always mean sexual gratification. The essence of the line could mean intense romantic fervor. |
