sub-freight Explanation: https://books.google.gr/books?id=EWdeBAAAQBAJ&pg=PA268&lpg=P... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 days20 hrs (2017-10-08 10:49:29 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A charterer may, in turn, charter the ship to another party. This is known as a sub-charter, or sub-let. This may happen when a time chartered ship is to be redelivered to its owner at a place other than the port where the (final) cargo is discharged. Rather than try to find another cargo, the charterer sub-lets the ship to another charterer, the sub-charterer. If the sub-charter is a voyage charter, the sub-charterer pays sub-freight; if time charter, sub-hire.
