ίδια επιταγή ημέρας

Please, please, can you explain the phrase, 'Ίδια επιταγή σε αντιπαραβολή προς την επιταγή πελατών'. I'll be very obliged. It must be the difference in the two Systems of Banking, ie UK v Greece. I'd like to thank you in advance.

There is No way, as far as the UK is concerned, that a person in the UK., will understand the meaning of, 'same day/date....cheque.' May be there is such a thing in Greece but NOT in the UK. The logic is the following:-
1. Every cheque, apart from other requirements, must be 'dated', for it to be valid.
2. One can present a cheque to their Bank and, if(normally) 'crossed' would go into the Payee's A/c, but will take (currently) 3 days to be 'cleared' and the monies deposited finally into the Payee's A/c.
3. The ONLY (normal) variation that the cheque can be cashed directly, is when it is an OPEN cheque, whereby the payee can present it to the drawer's a/c holding Bank branch only( or, if a different bank branch, pay a fee to have it confirmed(between the two branches) that funds stated on the cheque are in
the drawer's a/c). This is the ONLY case monies can be collected on the same day as on the cheque.
If, the expression, as is in Greek, refers to Case (3) as above, then transacting parties, at least in the UK, will call that cheque, an 'OPEN CHEQUE'
So, in this case it will be, 'An Open Personal cheque'. However, rarely do people give open cheques as there is danger of fraud.

Ίδια επιταγή σε αντιπαραβολή προς την επιταγή πελατών. Επιταγή ημέρας σε αντιπαραβολή προς επιταγή έως 120 ημερών. Όλο μαζί, αυτό που γράφει το κείμενο.

I think so, as well!!!
Whatever it is, cheques have to be cleared BEFORE any goods are dispatched. So, any valid AND personal cheque, so long as it is NOT post-dated, will do.
By me, 'valid personal cheque' would suffice.
I can't see the logic in the whole case. For any remote transaction to be effected payment must be received first. Unless somebody has an account with the merchant and they have prior arrangements that post-dated cheques are accepted. Even in this case, cheques are exchanged on production of invoices first.

Επειδή το συγκείμενο που παραθέτεις είναι κάπως ασαφές, και επειδή πιστεύω ότι με το "ίδια επιταγή" εννοεί πληρωμή με δική τους επιταγή και όχι "ίδιας ημέρας" (same date) εφόσον δίνει και την εναλλακτική "επιταγή πελατών....", αν το καταλαβαίνω σωστά, τότε η σωστή μετάφραση είναι "one-day own cheque or 120-days client cheque" ή κάπως έτσι τέλος πάντων. Πάντως, όπως είναι διατυπωμένο, σίγουρα δεν παραπέμπει σε "ίδια ημερομηνία". Καλημέρα!
