Explanation:

Efectivamente la palabra habitual en este caso es -tiro- (aquí en plural), y así viene recogida en el Ernst (ed. 2006, Brandstetter) en la entrada Zug (refiriéndose a Schornsteinzug).

Para Heizgas da por su parte -gas caliente-, sin más (o tb. -gas para calefacción- lo que no creo que sea el caso aquí).
