I am looking for the correct translation of "Spicken" when used as a glass engraving technique. The only text I have is:

Spicken: Für geschwungene, halbrunde Linien wird der Gravurstift mit leichtem Druck angesetzt und seitwärts weggezogen.

I can find no reference to an appropriate term with the searches I have made.

I understand incision as also including straight lines. I don't know about Spicken.
