German term or phrase: Bandmenge
I am translating an invoice issued by an electricity provider.
This term appears in a table just above a time period
"abzüglich Bandmenge" xx.xx.20xx - xx-xx-20xx. Other terms in this table are "Arbeitspreis Hochtarif".

Would anyone have a lead for me? Thank you

baseload supply /volume
Explanation:
Derived from the following article about 'Bandlieferung', containing:

Alternativer Begriff: Bandstrom
Englisch: baseload delivery

Note:
'Baseload' appears in two contexts:
* Min. power generated (power stations)
* Min. power supplied (commercial/industrial premises)
The askers question and the answer/reference provided both involve the latter context of power supply...

Extra power consumed (at high tariff) minus baseload power supplied = excess energy consumption payable

Where baseload costs are presumably fixed over the timeframe involved, and the excess power costs are variable...

Thanks for you note MF, I'm pretty certain it relates to commercial /industrial power supply and how the bills (or billable consumption) are arrived at...
Since the baseload supply is a constant, I think I'd remove "volume" from my suggestion and just stick with "supply" or "consumption"...

Also mentioned in your clarification and in the discussion area was natural gas:

Note to reference poster
Asker: Thank you for your interesting contribution. Since the invoice specifies "Strom", your suggestion (and the associated Kudoz entry) might actually be a better choice, since there is "high tariff" and then "off-peak" as suggested by you.

Asker: Sorry, I am slightly overworked, I wanted to say "peak" and "off-peak".
