What are Modifikationsänderungen? Modification changes (does it even make sense linguistically ?) or phase changes? Or are phase chanes something else?

Any chemists out there?

Thanks!

I should specify:
A "Platzwechsel der Schwefelatome" would be a "geometrische isomere Modifikation" in German and a 'geometrical isomer' in English

In the sense that the term "Modifikation" is used in this context, it would indeed be a modification:

this means that it's the appearance that changes before thermal decomposition takes place

Before somebody comes up with this: a modification here is a modification and NOT an allotrope, as this pertains only to chemical elements, not to compounds, as in this case.

As far as I'm concerned, either one of these would be fine

modifications

Explanation:
I would like to suggest "changes due to modifications" and not simply "modifications" as I previously thought.

Another possibility is changes in the way that the modifications happen.

But I would stick with changes due to modifications, because that is a good way to show that the changes could happen in other ways also (not as a result of modifications).

morphology modifications

Explanation:
In materials science, polymorphism is the ability of a solid material to exist in more than one form or crystal structure. Polymorphism can potentially be found in any crystalline material including polymers, minerals, and metals, and is related to allotropy, which refers to chemical elements. The complete morphology of a material is described by polymorphism and other variables such as crystal habit, amorphous fraction or crystallographic defects. Polymorphism is relevant to the fields of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, pigments, dyestuffs, foods, and explosives.

When polymorphism exists as a result of a difference in crystal packing, it is called packing polymorphism. Polymorphism can also result from the existence of different conformers of the same molecule in conformational polymorphism. In pseudo-polymorphism the different crystal types are the result of hydration or solvation.
:
Silica is known to form many polymorphs, the most important of which are; α-quartz, β-quartz, tridymite, cristobalite, moganite, coesite, and stishovite. A classical example is the pair of minerals calcite and aragonite, both forms of calcium carbonate.

Please note that 'morphology' comprises different crystal structures as well as aggregate states.

I refer to the most famous and exhaustive German chemical lexica, the "Römpp, Chemie-Lexion":

Kristallmorphologie

https://roempp.thieme.de/lexicon/RD-16-03538?searchterm=poly...

https://roempp.thieme.de/lexicon/RD-13-00294#

https://roempp.thieme.de/lexicon/RD-20-00124?searchterm=takt...

Kommerzielles Polypropylen ist in der Regel isotaktisch.
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polypropylen

The relations between crystalline structure and micromechanical properties of α-, β- and γ-phase of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) were investigated.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/323952956_Relations...

For example, in isotactic polypropylene, the growth of the γ-phase becomes pre-dominant at elevated pressure over theα-phase, which is usually found for crystallization at ambient pressure
https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd...
