  -> Yes, all you need is the Latin name

agree  John Speese: Each variety of V. unguiculata seems to have its own common name. Black-eyed peas and cream peas (without the "eye") are the most common ones in the Southern US where I'm from. Yardlong bean seems to be the common name for the cultivar "Metro".
