Taken from an academic paper on the Italian art historian Vasari on his method of collecting artworks:

"Zusammensetzungen von Zeichnungen geschehen im Sinn florentinischer Kompositionstendenzen so, daß nicht nur die Vereinigung mehrerer Blätter auf einer Seite des "Libro" ein florentinisches Blattbild ergibt mit deutlicher Zeilenanordnung und strukturhafter Vertikaldurchschneidung, sondern auch...."

Sentence is incredibly long, so I've just included the relevant part.

Any help with Blattbild gratefully received - is it some sort of way of organising the folios within the book?

Another 'intelligent (?) guess': the way a sheet was organised, the way it looked. BTW, the style (and sentence length) of your text extracts suggests it may be older - C19? 1920s latest? Which is possibly why the terminology is so elusive to us.
