Responsibilities as Interim Dean:

* Provides strategic leadership to the Faculty
* Directs the Faculty's fund development and communications activities
* Represents the Faculty externally to government, business, the local community and international partners
* Chairs the Faculty Council, Executive Committee, Faculty Evaluation Committee, Chairs Council and Dean's Office Group
* Represents the Faculty at General Faculties Council, Dean's Council, the SSHRC Deans Group and generally in its relations with the central administration of the University
* Oversees all Faculty operations and the implementation of all University and Faculty policies in the Faculty
* In concert with the Vice-Dean and Assistant Dean (Administration), leads preparation of the Faculty's annual budget and oversees the management of the Faculty's finances
