Premetto che non considero assolutamente sbagliata la proposta di Giulia. Semplicemente. visto che il termine "effectif" / "organico" non aggiunge nulla né in francese né in italiano e che l'espressione "organico quadri" non è diffusissima, personalmente preferirei snellire:
Le donne rappresentavano il 49% dei quadri

neutral  Chiara Santoriello: se la parola è presente nel testo sorgente non va omessa anche se non aggiunge o toglie nulla. Nell'esempio che ho riportato sono menzionate entrambe le parole. Allora perché l'hanno scritto in francese? Non potevano scrivere solo "cadres"?

  -> Il tuo esempio è senz'altro valido. Però non sono d'accordo sull'obbligo di mantenere la parola solo perché presente nell'originale. Bisogna valutare il caso specifico e secondo me qui può essere omessa. / Per me sì. L'originale è spesso perfettibile.
