Liebe Kollegen,
ich übersetze einen Text, in dem eine Schweizer Nobelmarke Geschäftsfreunde und wichtige Kunden zu einem "cocktail" einlädt. (Beginn 17.00 Uhr).

Welche Art der Veranstaltung gemeint ist, ist klar, bei der entsprechenden (Schweizer-)deutschen Formulierung stehe ich jedoch auf dem Schlauch. Apéro und Stehempfang oder Stehimbiss sind mir zu "normal", ich hätte gerne etwas Eleganteres. "Cocktail dînatoire" habe ich neulich in einem ähnlichen Text mit "Flying Dinner" übersetzt, weiß hier aber nicht, wie umfangreich die Verpflegung ist.

sorry, ibz hat recht, Apéro. habe die italienische Schreibweise aus Versehen verwendet.

Explanation:
Hier würde ich bei Cocktail bleiben. Wenn es sich um einen umfangreicheren Apéro handelt, wird hier (CH) oft von einem «Apéro riche» gesprochen, aber das ist in meinen Augen nicht dasselbe. Im Zweifelsfall würde ich nachfragen, ob es sich tatsächlich um einen Apéro riche handelt.
