French term or phrase: coque cylindrique de révolution
Context:

having difficulty in imagining how this cylindrical object operates.
Patents are supposed to be fairly clear in their description but unless it`s the French revolution rising up then I don`t know.
I don`t think it rotates so word "revolution" might in fact not be needed.
Any suggestions most welcome.
TIA Chris.

neutral  chris collister: A body of revolution can be solid - this is a shell, i.e. a thin-walled body.
