By the way, this makes me think of the NHS "NICE" guidelines, which I will leave you with the fun of searching. Refered to them in a dissertation/thesis I did in 2010. There may be a US equivalent which if tracked down could turn out to be a useful soruce of similar (not calqued) terminology.

It is enough to just type in the term and then on the first page that appears, if nothing interesting appears, "outils de recherche" (search tools?) appears as an option just above the list of hits. From there on in, you select your country, then town etc.

I joined ProZ in 2003, after having used internet for more than 10 years back then. I learnt a lot about searching efficiently through ProZ, but also through reading and sheer curiosity. I'm quite shocked how little of this is taught in French schools and how even the most basic Boolean search skills are often unknown by uni students in France. So when you start talking about reference management tools which enable you to keep track of everything and insert all yer refs clean 'n' dandy according to the format your course requires, well, I've been talking Martian to fellow students the past 5 years !

As translators, using computers all day every day professionally, we really have to have curiosity about this sort of thing. We don't have to be computer engineers, but we owe it to ourselves - and our clients - to be "utilisateurs avisés". 8-)

I love these ad hoc sessions! I always learn something I didn't already know. Perhaps proz.com should have a Google advice section somewhere.

Come to think of it, I don't think the US has a country domain suffix like .fr or .uk, does it? Almost as though sites are American unless otherwise specified. A sign of the times; rather like the fact that in another communication technology of an earlier era, Britain was the only country that didn't put its name on its postage stamps. When I collected stamps as a child I always thought that was rather cool.

What is even more annoying is when Google starts force-feeding you results in a local language you don't understand at all... just because you happened to be passing by in that country!

This is very useful shareable info that every translator worth his salt should know, or make efforts to know. It's invaluable, so good to share. Even the most basic addition of a suitable keyword can help. Here for example, even if based in the US, it can help by very simply putting "HAS+santé+france". Another one here to narrow this down would be "HAS + "bonnes pratiques clinique" with "santé" and "france" as before. You need to put your thinking cap on a little, get curious learn these tricks and even without much technical nouse, Google spits out lots of spot-on info in less than a second. ;-)

By the way, I personally find Google's automatic localisation of my search results (which means that mine in Spain will not be the same as yours in France or the United States, for example) intensely irritating; it's quite tricky to override. I usually wish to count myself a king of infinite space, but Google is determined to bind me in a nutshell.

While we're at it, just to be clear (in case anyone reading this doesn't know), Tony's tip of restricting the domain to .fr is done by writing site:.fr in the search box, in addition to the search term (leave a space between them, of course).

If you do this, only results that have a domain ending in ".fr" will be included. This is not all French sites; some do not end .fr (just as not all British sites end .uk). If you prefer a more inclusive France-only search, you can use the "region" option in Advanced Search (which is not always easy to find until you're used to it; mostly you click on a cog icon top right, though it doesn't appear for me on the main search page). One advantage of this method is that you can also restrict your search to French-language sites, if you wish, by using the "language" option (which doesn't work perfectly, in practice, but it's still helpful).
