French term or phrase: désinsertion
Hi,

I am currently translating a denervation procedure.
Here is the sentence:

Do we use "disinsertion" in this context or can I say "dissected" or "released"?
I used "dissected" to translate "décollement" in this context.

This is for the US.

Thanks

detachment
Explanation:

I think detachment is appropriate here as it refers to a surgical procedure rather than trauma.

dissection

Explanation:
for me in this case because it is surgical and I would use dissociate or detach for décollement.

Reference information:
There are some nice entries by medically qualified translators and interpreters are already in the KudoZ glossaries whence I have no intention of 'dis-inserting' myself with many doctors in the family from Glasgow via London to Paris. 'My husband is an accountant / lawyer, so the terminology has rubbed off on to me.'
