I would agree that it being on the same line as recommended intake makes it more questionable. Over my time on the urology ward, I generally found DU in notes to mean "débit urinaire" check, "dynamique urinaire" (so they may mean to carry out urodynamics checks, but it's strange it's not BDU), or dose unitaire, but then that doesn't make sense here particularly. I would have agreed it would be the clinician noting that there's currently 1 micturation a day.

I agree that one urination a day would not be a recommendation, hence my thought that the clinician is indicating WHY the patient need to be encouraged to drink more. That would make sense in this context I think

I doubt 1 micturition/day would be in the recommendations. The normal range is between 4 to 8 micturitions per 24H, usually high in diabetic patients. And débit is non count. Is "- 1 DU, par jour" on the same line as "1.5 L liquides/j "?
