Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Tax advice for company
French term or phrase: Inspecteur Principal de Classe Exceptionnelle
Inspecteur Principal de Classe Exceptionnelle à la retraite

This is the job title of the person writing the document giving advise on taxes to a company in West Africa.

My francophone partner has told me that "Classe Exceptionnelle" is a high title to show that the person is a real expert in the field. I'm struggling with how to translate it into English. Any suggestions very welcome.

Thanks in advance!

English translation:Senior Principal Inspector
Explanation:
Several possible ways to translate this but we would not say "of sepcial/exceptional class" in English.

However, this is from West African and not all that region's countries are exclusively Francophone, so there may well be an English term in current use there that is equivalent. Some Internet search should be done.
