Are we really going to be talking about equity here? It's public money

"Collective equity" sounds rubbish

Community's own funds

Explanation:
To my best understanding, this isn't a technical term. "Fonds propres de la collectivité" is the source of funding.

neutral  Thomas Miles: Maybe 'local authority' instead of 'community' to avoid interpretation as a grass-roots fundraising effort?

disagree  Francois Boye: which own funds?//own funds' is not the English for 'fonds propres'. Why? Because 'fonds propres' is an accounting concept.

neutral  Eliza Hall: In EN "community" has a more general, social meaning with no legal existence (it's not a legal entity). The legal entity representing a community is a municipality, local authority, etc. (there are various terms depending on country/state).

agree  Eliza Hall: Yes. Municipality works as the general term. Would probably be "local authority" in the UK. And @François Boye, "own funds" means ses fonds à elle, as opposed to borrowed funds etc.

disagree  AllegroTrans: "Equity" doesn't work here as it is about ownership. A municipality isn't owned, it's a public entity of local government, and as for "Anglo-saxon view" please get it: the Anglo-saxons were an amalgam of 6th-7th century tribes, long dead

-> Incorrect in French accounting! Please read the attachment! //your conception of a concept should not prevail over the way the French administration defines it. THis is basic intelllectual honesty!

disagree  Eliza Hall: A municipality can't be owned; there's no equity in it. Even if it could, that wouldn't be a way to finance an architectural project.

-> Incorrect in French accounting! Please read the attachment!

disagree  SafeTex: Equity is the shareholders' stakes in assets in a company. That simple does not work for a municipality
13 hrs
-> This is an Anglo-saxon view that is not French. Please read my attachment in French (you live in France, don't you?).

disagree  Steve Robbie: This is a translation into English, so the English-speaking view is what matters. Same applies re "Anglo-Saxon".

I now believe that the money which once belonged to a group of people was paid to an organization. In other words, some people pay money to an organization or municipality (town council) to raise funds which serve a community such as people from the same town. The money is paid to help raise funds to pay for work efforts in favour of the well-being and health among the same neighbourhood. With respect to equity there are steps taken towards an economic balance within the same neighbourhood. The future of the same town should have more stability of well being and health in the future.
