French term or phrase: à forte valeur biosourcée
This is from a brochure on paint pigments, it describes pigment pastes that can be added to colour paints.

Any ideas. I can't quite formulate the "à forte valeur" aspect.

Explanation:
The term bio-sourced is often used now in the paint industry. even though it may be referring to oil-based material.

High natural content

Explanation:
As contrasted with synthetic pigments.

I gather that a relatively high share of the materials of the pigment are from some organic (in the sense of living) source, perhaps such as plants, or who knows ... sea life, fossilized stuff, or something else.

Then, presumably also, that the origin of the material is from a living thing. Not from some kind of rock or something. "High biosourced content".

But check some of the other content to be sure that it's not basically saying "eco" in some kind of greenwashing or fake kind of way, i.e., more so than speaking to the material aspects of the pigment.

For example, did they use organic berries, and its being organic (no chemical pesticides or fertilizers) is what qualifies it as "bio"? In which case it's not about being "biosourced", i.e., that it the pigment material is from some living/biological origin.

disagree  B D Finch: Minerals are also "natural". Both "organic" and the French "bio" used to mean "organic" are unfortunately confusing. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/organic...

agree  B D Finch: Though, I think you mean "petroleum-based" in your explanation, as bio-sourced oils (e.g. linseed oil) may be used in paint.

A bio-based material is a material intentionally made from substances derived from living (or once-living) organisms.

I don't think bio-sourced fits your context of paint pigments.
http://www.verdello.lu/en/faq
Paint is considered to be bio-sourced if at least 95% of the components that it contains are plant-based.

Pigments to create paint of high bio-based value? -> Perhaps: highly bio-based pigments for creating highly bio-based paints

Another equivaltent term to bio-based substance is bio-based material
A bio-based material is a material intentionally made from substances derived from living (or once-living) organisms. These materials are sometimes referred to as biomaterials, but this word also has another meaning. Strictly the definition could include many common materials such as wood and leather, but it typically refers to modern materials that have undergone more extensive processing. Unprocessed materials may be called biotic material. Bio-based materials or biomaterials fall under the broader category of bioproducts or bio-based products which includes materials, chemicals and energy derived from renewable biological resources.
Bio-based materials are often biodegradable, but this is not always the case.
Examples include:
• cellulose fibers — fibers made from reconstituted cellulose.
• casein — a phosphoprotein extracted from milk during the process of creating low fat milk, it is processed in various ways to make: plastic, dietary supplements for body builders, glue, cotton candy, protective coatings, paints, and occurs naturally in cheese, giving it a creamy texture.
• polylactic acid — a polymer produced by industrial fermentation
• bioplastics — include a soy oil based plastic now being used to make body panels for John Deere tractors
• engineered wood — products such as oriented strand board and particle board
• zein — a natural biopolymer which is the most abundant corn protein
• cornstarch — the starch of the maize grain, used to make packing pellets
• grease — lubricants made from vegetable oils, including soybean oil, that can replace petroleum based lubricants

The institute found a large number of methodologies for assessing a bio-based substance’s environmental, health and sustainability impacts. However, the report says that what is lacking is a flexible methodology that can be used to conduct either a quick, or an extended assessment, and which allows the practitioner to select criteria for human and environmental health, safety and sustainability. It also discovered confusion in the market about the effects of REACH, with some firms believing it hampers the introduction of bio-based substances. There are no specific requirements in the Regulation relating to bio-based substances, but they are covered by its general definition of chemical substances and may, therefore, need to be registered. It remains unclear if, in cases of direct substitution with a bio-based substance, a producer can use the registration and information of the petrochemical equivalent.

Woodoo has achieved its impressive results by developing a complex process to transform the properties of the wood. First the lignin is extracted – and then recycled on the renewable chemicals market to avoid any pollution – so that the wood only retains its cellular skeleton, into which a bio-sourced substance is injected so as to strengthen it. The procedure, which also makes the wood translucent, is infinitely more environmentally-friendly than the currently used materials in the construction sector allow.

Producing acrylic polymers from biomass: feasibility and lifecycle assessment considerations
Today’s coating industry is confronted by several new challenges that are characteristic of the constraints of our times:
- reducing the industry’s carbon footprint,
- reducing the dependence on petroleum,
- incorporating the principles of sustainability into product development.
The use of bio-sourced raw materials represents one encouraging route to addressing these issues. The socio-economic and ecologic impacts of this choice cannot be ignored just because the materials are bio-sourced and the durability of the final products plays an important role because, as highlighted by the United Nations Environment Programme, there is a widespread degradation of arable land (which is a critical resource for producing bio-sourced materials). The durability of acrylic polymers is well-known and the utility of these materials will be further reinforced when they are made from a renewable source of raw materials.
