the architect aligned his/her diamond shaped staircase with the diagonal of the square stairwell Explanation: My alternative answer mimics Conor's just for the sake of comparison. If you take a square, you can place a smaller diamond in it orientated at any angle (Conor's suggestion). To better describe the relationship of the staircase and stairwell, this would be my attempt although someone may have something better. |
