Pareille au système révolutionnaire de Kobro et qui fut aussi celui de Moholy-Nagy ou de Theo van Doesburg (et plus loin), cette démarche dynamique était loin des jeux décoratifs d’un Yakov Tchernikhov, décorateur lyrique, égaré à la fin des années 1920 dans une prospective architectonique quasiment abstraite mais de type banalement décoratif, de même que la peinture du « deuxième » Kandinsky, artiste et professeur au Bauhaus qui à partir de 1923 s’égarait lui aussi dans une peinture abstraite-géométrique, production crispée dans l’impasse professorale d’un formalisme stérile.

I think that "architectonic" can be used, but is less common in English. It does emphasise the idea of structure more than "architectural" does, but I don't think it's a very necessary distinction here.
