(security of) money supply Explanation: Tässä on kyse huoltovarmuudesta (security of supply), huoltovarmuudessa on perinteisesti otettu huomioon erityisesti elintarvikehuollon (food supply) kaltaisia asioita, mutta viime aikoina maksuvälityksen karattua ulkomaille ollaan alettu huolestua myös rahahuollosta. Ehdotan yllä olevaa termiä analogisesti muille huoltovarmuuden alalajeille. |

Maintenance of currency supply Explanation: Tämä on yksi Suomen Pankin lakisääteisistä tehtävistä. Se on selitetty sekä suomeksi että englanniksi: https://www.suomenpankki.fi/fi/raha-ja-maksaminen/rahahuolto... https://www.suomenpankki.fi/en/money-and-payments/maintenanc... Ensimäiset kappaleet kummastakin: Rahahuolto Seteleiden ja kolikoiden liikkeeseenlasku on yksi Suomen Pankin perustehtävistä, josta on säädetty lailla. Suomen Pankki laskee liikkeeseen Suomessa tarvittavat setelit ja kolikot Euroopan keskuspankin (EKP) luvalla. Euroopan unionin toiminnasta tehdyn sopimuksen mukaan EKP:llä on yksinoikeus antaa lupa setelien liikkeeseenlaskuun ja oikeus hyväksyä liikkeeseen laskettavien kolikoiden määrät euroalueen maissa. Maintenance of currency supply Issuance of banknotes and coins is one of the core tasks legally imposed on the Bank of Finland. The Bank of Finland is authorised by the European Central Bank (ECB) to put the requisite banknotes and coins into circulation in Finland. By virtue of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the ECB was granted the exclusive right to authorise the central banks to issue banknotes and the right to approve the amount of coins put into circulation in euro area member states. |
