undergraduate studies/program Explanation: ناپیوسته here refers to an undergraduate program which can not be continued to a higher degree program unless the student finishes the undergraduate program and applies again for the graduate program. Therefore, it is the same as all the other undergraduate degrees around the world and I believe can safely be left untranslated. However, we also have پیوسته which is contrary to the previous one. A few master degrees are considered undergratuate when it is a non stop program for 4-5 years before you receive your fist degree (Master´s). Here, it definitely needs to be translated. Therefore I suggest undergraduate studies/program for دوره کارشناسی ناپیوسته and non-stop undergraduate studies/program for دوره کارشناسی پیوسته. Please refer to the web reference. [discontinuous Undergraduate ] and [discontinuous BA course] Explanation: against non-continous BA course -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 ساعت (2009-07-06 15:56:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- as I mentioned "discontinuous Undergraduate" which I think I should've added a "course" to it. so it describes both BA and BS -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 ساعت (2009-07-06 16:01:20 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Discontinuous Undergraduate Course. moreover depending on the situation the translator can use both BA and BS if he doesn't want to use "discontinuous Undergraduate course" |
