the subject awakes to consciousness of his environment the person wakes up and is aware of his surroundings. Explanation: The person is awake mentally, and he/she is conscious but his body cannot react because the part of the brain that sends the signals to the rest of the body "you are awake" is still asleep. Meaning, you know what is happening around you, but you cannot move because you are still "sleeping". This may last seconds or very brief minutes but it's a medical condition called "Sleep paralysis". |
