English language (monolingual) [Non-PRO] Other / question about punctuation; to use a comma or not
English term or phrase:comma
Hi :-) Should I use a comma in this interrogative sentence or any other sign?
What are you watching then in the markets as we weigh up the implications of a still very dire impact from the virus in a number of countries versus what broadly looks like a decent earnings picture at this stage?
I hope you "write" the words down, not "wright" them down... Whilst people are helping you here, this forum is not really for learning English, there are other dedicated sites for that purpose. This is a translation forum.
I try to find the most diificult sentence. Then I write it down. Then I look for the unknown words and wright them down too. Then I try to memorize them.
That's why I want to write the sentence correctly :-)
This sounds like either a transcription of speech, in which people aren't overly concerned about style and grammar, or English written by a non native. I think it needs rewriting - simply adding a comma won't fix it. A period/full stop would be a start.

No comma necessary
Explanation: The sentence is well understood without a comma. The word "versus" actually breaks the sentence into 2 parts already.
