Менсплейнінг (від англ. «mansplaining», де «man» — чоловік, «explainе» — пояснювати) — це чоловіча, сексистська, поблажлива, самовпевнена або спрощена манера пояснювати жінкам те, що вони і так знають. Крім того, сам чоловік часто може слабо орієнтуватися у предметі розмови.

Також менсплейнінг — це і чоловіча звичка перебивати жінку, пропускати її слова повз вуха, знецінювати жіночі висловлювання, починаючи розмову з позиції людини, яка апріорі права і володіє великими знаннями.
