High Background Alarm/Fault: The condition that occurs if the counts exceed the programmed high background level. This condition prevents further operation untile the problem is corrected. Normally set in CPS. I understand that the detector has a low and a high set for background radiation scanning. Whenever the counter detects a low or a high, it triggers a fault.
