Hello!

I'm working on a Healthcare translation and this term came to me.

I have a doubt whether HOME MEDICATIONS here refers to medication taken at home, as I've read in other threads, or if it can mean something else, such as the medication you can take in-house, meaning inside the clinic and as oppose to discharge medications, which are the ones they send you home with.

Also later on it says: HOME MEDICATIONS WERE RETURNED TO THE FOLLOWING PERSON AT DISCHARGE. So, would my idea sound too illogical?

En este caso, medicación domiciliaria parece hacer referencia a la medicación habitual que toma el paciente y que habría llevado consigo y entregado al hospital a su ingreso (en ocasiones los pacientes portan su propia medicación diaria para continuar tomándola durante un ingreso hospitalario), y que le habría sido devuelta en el momento del alta.
