Corespondentul exact ar fi atunci "stadiu larval" care, fiind alcatuit de mai multe etape diferite, poate fi si numerotat (primul stadiu larval, al doilea etc etc) |

Reference: larve de diferite "vârste" Reference information: instar A stage in the larval development of an insect between two moults (ecdyses). There are usually a number of larval instars before metamorphosis. Stadiile dintre năpârliri se numesc instar (despre urechelniţe, pe Wikipedia). Perioada cuprinsă între două năpârliri se numeşte vârstă. În timpul stadiului larvar insectele trec prin mai multe vârste. Numărul vârstelor, ca şi al năpârlirilor, este constant şi caracteristic pentru fiecare specie. Larva apărută din ou poartă numele de larvă neonată şi corespunde vârstei întâi. După prima năpârlire trece în vârsta a doua şi aşa mai departe. (fragment copiat de pe pagina de mai jos).
