The MPI will bring in state-of-the-art knowledge, methodologies and expertise in the analysis of ancient human and environmental/microbial DNA using DNA extraction, library preparation, genome wide SNP and complete pathogen genome capture, ancient pathogen analysis through next generation sequencing and associated bioinformatics pipeline for human and pathogen research.
