English term or phrase: indentured migration
Could someone help with the actual meaning of the phrase 'indentured migration'? I understand that the meaning is opposite to that of 'free migration' implying the aspect of involuntariness, yet to what extent is 'indenture' as 'a contract' involved here, if at all?
