meadowfoam seed oil Limnanthes alba Explanation: Iesaku atstāt latīniski, jo tā ir Ziemeļamerikas puķe, kurai varētu arī nebūt tradicionāla latviskā nosaukuma. Piemēram, Mežzinātnes institūta “Silava” rakstā (pirmais links apakšā) tas tā arī tiek lietots (gan ārpus kosmētikas konteksta). Krieviski un vāciski kā tulkojumi parādās: пенник луговой Wiesenschaumkraut Tomēr man ne pavisam nav pārliecības par šo tulkojumu pareizību, jo vismaz vāciskajam tulkojumam uz angļu valodu parādās kādas trīs versijas (ne meadowfoam). Tādēļ man ir aizdomas, ka tas ir kāda cita (attiecīgajām tautām sen pazīstama) auga kļūdaini lietots nosaukums. Arī latviski ir, piemēram, "pūkaine", ir arī "pļavas pūkaine", bet tai nav nekāda sakara ar meadowfoam.
