Looking at the surrounding text, I have a feeling that this is a typo, and they really wanted to write clockwise limit.
Here is the surrounding text on Page 22:

WL - Wise Limit cannot be larger than 400 degrees
CL - Counterclockwise limit cannot be smaller than -200 degrees
NP - Next position. Set point for the GO command.
SP - Speed, valid numbers are 1 to 8.

But earlier in the manual, on Page 11, there is this:
"10. Press "CW" and hold it, the Turntable will move clockwise, but only up to his maximum limit, normally +400 degrees. Press "CCW" and hold it, the Turntable will move counter-clockwise, but only up to his minimum limit, normally -200 degrees."

So, I think all abbreviated commands are limited to two characters, that's why they decided to use WL for clockWise Limit and CL for Counterclockwise Limit to differentiate them, as they both start with a C. However, the explanation should have been written as "clockwise limit".
