poka-yoke Ashudhdhii Shodan/Truti SudhAr/Galtii SudhArna Explanation: Poka is Japanese for "inadvertent mistake". Yokeru is Japanese for "to avoid." It is often used as a synonym for ZQC, error-proofing, or mistake-proofing. I think one of the abovementioned three alternatives should serve your purpose. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2004-09-03 13:17:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Typo : \"Shodhan\" and not \"Shodan\" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 26 mins (2004-09-03 13:29:05 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Another typing error : Please read \"Ashuddhi\" in place of \"Ashudhdhii\". Pity, I have committed a number of mistakes in a \"mistake proofing\" question! |

poka-yoke mistake that even a foolish poerson can make Explanation: It's not an English term but a Japanese one. I can explain it in following ways:- 1) As mentioned above it means= a "mistake" that even a foolish person (even a donkey) can make. 2) It can also mean in some cases= a mistake even a foolish person can understand and clear it. Offcuurse it depends on what the total sentence is about? |
