slack renforcement/relais/équilibrage Explanation: If no one comes up with some reliable answer from the tech industry, you might try to use here the idea of relais or équilibrage or renforcement from what can be understood with the texts you posted. I checked on HAL's database for research papers, and only could find the concept of slack bus, not the others. There is indeed a concept in electricity called slack bus as you may know or have found, that in my opinion directly relates to this, - I suppose this is where it was borrowed from. The only technical translation I found for slack bus (online tech dictionary and a bilingual research paper) is noeud à puissance infinie, which is of no use here. However, the three suggested terms above are all used in our context to render the same idea. Good luck!
