This about trials of genetically engineered plants. I found diverging Kudoz, so what word should I use in my context, i.e., with the word "maize" or "soybean" attached rather than the standalone word "breeder"?

Like traditional ***plant breeders***, the developers of new GE plants begin with a large number of individual plants to be evaluated as potential commercial varieties.
It is possible that the same methods ***soybean breeders*** use to mitigate pollen-mediated gene flow may be effective for a GE soybean variety, grown in a CFT.
