Dear Colleagues,
Today, we were asked the following question. Does the English word “Innovator” sound strange in Finnish? Or does it have negative connotations? And what about the parts of the word (inno, va, tor or vator)? Do these words have funny or strange meanings in Finnish?
A client is asking us this question because they want to use the word Innovator (or parts of it) in their logo.
Thank you so much for your help!
Best regards,
Lia Stigter

On second thoughts, I agree with Marju. This is an example of the expertise of translators being exploited for nothing...

Discussion
By asking this question, our agency does not wish to exploit freelance translators. On the contrary, we often post paid jobs at Proz. For this request, we did not receive compensation by our client.
As for the points, please accept our sincere apologies for that. We will certainly assign points next time!
Best regards,
Lia
